Other Details to Note

Important (Please Read)! We do NOT accept check in or check out on holidays. Absolutely NO open fires are allowed. The risk of wildfire for the area is too high. The gas firepit out front is available when there is no fire ban. If there is a fire ban, the firepit will be removed. You will be asked to leave immediately if there is any fire activity. Pets We will allow pets who qualify. Please message us before booking for our pet policy to see if your pets qualify. Currently we only allow dogs. There is an additional fee for bringing a pet to cover the cleaners’ extra time to keep the space fresh for future guests. Please note the only way to the loft is the spiral staircase which is not safe for pets. When we have our pup there he sleeps in the lower level. The roads require AWD or 4WD for November through April (however it can snow in October and in May!). The roads are plowed after 6 inches of snow. You do not need a 4WD or AWD in the summer but be aware that the dirt roads in the neighborhood bumpy! There is no air conditioning unit here. It is very rare in our county to have one installed in a house (even brand-new builds!). The nights are cool in the summer so to cool the house off you can open all the windows and doors, then close them during the day and you stay nice and cool! There are fans provided to help blow the cool air through the cabin. We are at 9,200 feet in elevation — altitude sickness can occur but you can do things to prevent it and alleviate symptoms including: Taking a day to rest when you arrive. Drink extra water and stay well hydrated (avoiding alcohol will help). (The tap water is from natural spring water and is delicious and safe to drink.) Wear sunscreen, even when it is cool or cloudy. The spiral staircase is narrow and it can be challenging to cart large luggage up and down. We often keep our luggage on the main level. If you have children, please be extra careful around the staircase (it’s tempting to use it as a play gym, but can be very dangerous). This house is in a neighborhood. While it feels secluded from the front porch, our back-door neighbors are visible from the side and back of the house.

We loved our stay at the A Frame! Upon arrival we were greeted with a puppy welcome basket, and a welcome basket for us. The place was very cozy, and the hot tub was so relaxing up in the mountains. We will surely be returning for a longer stay in the future!

Pictures don’t do this place justice. Outside is breathtaking and quiet. It’s remote but not far away from anything you might need. The cabin is better than I could have imagined also. The thought that was put into the details of decoration and making us feel comfortable was extraordinary. Every last detail was thought out and executed. We didn’t want to leave. We will definitely be back.

We loved this little slice of paradise. It is so cute and has everything you need. We got married (on Pikes Peak) while we were here but it was the perfect place to get ready and grab some really cute photos leading up to our ceremony. Will absolutely be back!

The stay was fantastic and host communication was great. The views and tranquility at the A frame were just what we were looking for a relaxing birthday escape. The house was beautifully set up to welcome me, my wife, our 4 month old, and 2 dogs. Everything seemed very well taken care of. A great location to hit up hikes and mountains and just a very peaceful getaway. There is a small town store and restaurant that we grabbed dinner and a few things from that is very close. The hot tub was a great was to unwind and finish the day into the night and we did see some wildlife which is always a nice sight. The house itself if very picturesque but even better is that the hosts care about it. The cleanliness is to note for this property. From the linens to the furniture to even the bathroom floor mats, everything seemed either new or very well taken care of and cleaned. It’s like you are the first guest that has ever stayed which is very different than a lot of places. 10/10 will be back!
